We're not all bad!!

Its 2.27am and i'm sitting watching SkyNews and the riot updates, its scary just watching it I cant imagine how scary it must be to find yourself caught up in it. I've watched a few videos posted by a facebook group about supporting the Met Police, its disgusting and vile what these people are doing. Makes you wonder what kind of people think that its acceptable to behave the way they are? Its just been announced that the youngest to be arrested is 11 years old! 11?!?! Where the hell are that child's parents?

They're showing images of the police in attendance there, and a very small percentage of them actually have riot gear on! They're all in shirts and the police vests, and they've said that the police who charged the riots did not have riot gear on, they're not even properly equipped to deal with this sort of situation and yet they're the ones getting the brunt of it. There's been a lot of discussion tonight about police 'letting people' loot, but I think in situations like this one they have to pick their battles, from what I've seen they're very much out numbered and the  riots are beginning to spread through-out the country with riots being confirmed in Birmingham and Liverpool.

The police also have very little power at the moment apart from barricades and charging the rioters, they're only allowed to use water canons unless its declared a state of emergency, and at the current time it has not been declared so, and I'd assume that call lies with the PM and it has been announced that he's cut short a holiday to hold discussions about it.

This is day 3 that london has taken a hammering, I'm about to head to bed and hoping that the police can get the situation under control by morning.

the day before...

So its the day before the darling sister's wedding, and its weird, it doesn't feel like my sister's getting married in the morning, we should be excited and stuff spending time together, but we're not, I've not seen her since she dropped off the flowers, still have hardly any details about the damn thing, so yeah don't think tomorrow will go too well, but on the upside bloggers this is the penultimate wedding post! I'll do one on Sunday with everyone fancied up and that's it! 




oooh I bought make up!! For those who don't know ELF (or eyes, lips, face) it is an online company who sell make up relatively cheaply, I ordered a few wee things in the hopes that I'd receive it for tomorrow but I've not even had my dispatch text yet so I don't think I'll get it in time, but a few of my Elitist Goldfishy friends have assured me that their delivery times are usually really good but my timing sucks as they've just done a massive sale and they're just a little backed up at the moment. I've literally JUST had an email apologising for the delay and saying that I should expect my stuff by the 11th of this month. Which I'm quite happy with they've been really good all the way through so a few more days wont make much difference. 




I applied for an amazing job, the first one I've really got exciting about since leaving my work experience at Kinnies. Its another bridal job, but this on is 'high-end' which scares the crap out of me but its an amazing job, its permanent, its relatively well paid, and its something I love doing, I hope I at least get an interview for it. It closed today I'll be gutted if I just got ignored! I have experience which is a plus, but I don't know if I'm 'high-end' enough lol.

Happy Mondays :)

Today was a good day! Feeling a lot better today than i have for the past few days. Seen Stephen for a bit and had a cuddle, and some time to ourselves (no sexitimes though! boo!) lol, so that made me feel better!

And tonight I was introduced to the awesomeness that is Dominoes Pizza! It was sooo good lol. Stephen went home a bit earlier tonight as he's shattered and i'm just having a quiet night in.
